neon and knots

even though i love getting glammed up, i'm still a tomboy at heart. that's why i love these black faux leather athletic shorts. the elastic waste and overall style of the shorts allows them to be very versatile. to keep them casual, i threw on a flowy striped knit and added the neon flip flops for a subtle pop of color. the perfect way to top off this laid-back look was with my reflective ray-bans and a black cross body bag. to transform my outfit, i threw on this adorable graphic and knotted it on the side to show off the shorts. i love using an elegant statement necklace to dress up an edgy tee and it allowed me to keep the rest of my accessories simple. i added a watch with a studded wristband, a couple of gold bracelets, and a black wristlet so i wouldn't have to carry a bag around. even though the weather is warming up, i still love wearing booties. they are so chic and if they're styled right, they are a great way to mix up your spring and summer looks.

this is a different take on the typical LBD... it is what i like to call the long black dress. it is equally as cute but the comfort of this black maxi is unbeatable! it has to be one of my favorite peices because it is pretty much effortlessly chic. keeping it nice and simple, i added some dainty jewlry and my black crossbody. what i love about this dress is that it is so easy to change it up. i added a knot tied on the bottom to one side or you can tie a knot mid thigh for a relaxed vibe. knots are a great way to switch up this basic beauty. to dress the look up for a chilly night out, i added this adorable cropped knit sweater, some black wedges and a pop of neon courtosy of the statement necklace. don't be afraid to get some use out of your favorite pieces because making simple tweaks can totally change things up!

keep it chic xo
