eurotrip

happy july loves! this summer is literally flying by we can't even believe it. for us here at same chic new day july is going to be a pretty incredible month. sarah has already landed in ireland to spend the month traveling around europe with her beautiful family and i will be heading to mexico next week. while july will be a busy month for the both of us we fully intend to keep you posted on our travels...starting with what to pack when spending the month hopping from county to country while of course, keeping it chic.

simple tanks like these are essential because they are easy to
either dress up or down and can be worn many different ways.

a good mix of tees are perfect for travel not just for their simplicity but for the versatility as well. all of the basics are covered here, it is also a great idea to include a flannel. you never know what the weather is going to be like and the addition of a flannel top is the perfect way to keep warm or just tie around your waste for later.

pants are pretty self explanatory. mix up your denim with both a light and dark wash, some black skinnies and a super chic pair of colored jeans. sarah chose to bring along these army green ones..adorable and still practical.

keep things nice and simple by packing pieces that you know you will get your use out of. here we have a black romper, flowy black skater dress and, a black maxi. all bases covered. to dress up any of those pieces it is a good idea to bring along a couple of blazers. a simple white one and a pop of color with the floral print should do the job.

even though it is extremely hot here in califronia that does not mean it will be the same in europe. this is why it is important to pack a couple of good warm pieces. a black leather jacket goes with anything and if there is the slightest chance of rain it is smart to have a trench coat handy. the last thing you want is to be walking around paris soaking wet. throw a couple of simple cardigans in your suitcase and you are good to go.

shoes may or may not be the hardest part of the traveling experience. since luggage has to be kept to a  minimum sticking with essentials only is the way to go.
