minis and maxis

dresses, rompers and shorts are great for summer time but every once in a while its nice to switch it up and throw on a skirt. when i was a little girl, i absolutely hated skirts. i had to wear a uniform to school so wearing one at any other time was just not an option. thankfully, i grew out of that little phase and gave skirts a second chance. i love this particular skirt because it looks put together no matter how you style it. for an afternoon out i paired my chambray skirt with a simple black tank, black crossbody and some leopard sandals for a pop of print. to dress the look up i swapped out my black tank for a white one and some nude cutout wedges. i also added a turquoise bubble necklace and my favorite cream cardigan. skirts are the perfect way to change up your summer wardrobe and bonus, a great way to show off those tan legs!

maxi skirts are a warm weather must-have. a black maxi dress or skirt is a great closet staple. i love this skirt because the chiffon overlay and slits on the side make it anything but ordinary. i love wearing crop tops with maxis for day or night and they show just the right amount of skin. for my day look, i wore a white crop top, sandals, a gold dipped crystal necklace, some gold rings, a floral clutch and a patterned headband. i went all black for my glam look with an angled crop top, ankle strap heels and my chain cross body purse.  i kept the jewelry minimal with a simple bar necklace and turquoise bracelet. with a skirt like this, a little goes a long way.
