october's monthly must have: black on black on black

my favorite color is black...is that wierd? nah! all black is many things, super chic being number one. its easy to transition simple black pieces into a ton of different looks as well as from season to season. this is pretty much why black is my favorite color. for a daytime look, i put on one of my favorite pairs of distressed black jean shorts and a black tee tucked in. for shoes, these black booties are a must along with my black crossbody. for an all black evening look, i went for my faux leather leggings and a black drapey top. i paired this ensemble with some black booties, a gorgeous pair of emerald earrings and a vampie bold lip to finish the look.

who else is excited about busting out their black for this change in weather? well, obviously erin and i got so excited that we may have over done it just a little bit. black is a great color, and can definitely make appearances year round, but i feel like cooler weather is a great chance to give the all-black look a try. to keep your black outfit relaxed, use simple statement pieces to do the trick. a great way to keep the look effortless is by keeping the makeup simple and throwing your hair up in a loose top knot. for a more evening appropriate look, i let my hair down and wore a simple jumpsuit with an oversized crochet sweater and some strappy heels. i know all black can be intimidating, but don't be afraid to give it a try! just keep it simple for a chic, flattering look.
