black skinny jeans are a closet staple and i practically live in them. i really wanted a cute pair of high waisted jeans and decided black was the way to go. they're so flattering and versatile and that puts them in the running to be my new favorite pair of jeans. for a more relaxed look i paired them with a white crop tank, my oatmeal sweater, black pointed toe flats, oversized round sunglasses and some fun rings. to transform this look i wore a delicate sheer lace crop top and my go-to black booties. i threw on a couple of simple gold bracelets, a crystal necklace and a bright red lip to add some glam. for a cooler evening, a leather jacket would be the perfect addition because, in my opinion, leather and lace are the perfect match!
i have a confession to make ... i have never been the biggest fan of shorts. i know, i know shorts are a summertime staple but it can be quite difficult to find the perfect pair. i usually just end up throwing in the towel (or shorts in this case). recently i decided to give the chic bottoms more of a chance. one of my favorites are these black lace ones. they fit just right and they are surprisingly comfortable. for an easy day time look i paired the shorts with a loose grey quarter sleeve tee and some gladiator sandals. to accessorize, i put on my round sunnies and a turquoise necklace. to dress these babies up i paired them with a black and white striped peplum top and my black ankle strapped stilettos. for some fun i added a sparkly statement necklace and matching bracelet. i finished the look with a saucy red lip to break up the black and white. looks like i will be giving some love to shorts this summer and so should you!
