prep and punk rock

in case we haven't noticed, it's usually uncommon to find me in an outfit that's not black and white. i tend to lean toward neutrals and keep it simply chic. occasionally, i like to mix it up and add a little prep into the rotation. this navy jumpsuit is perfect for a simple, preppy look. when it came to styling this jumpsuit for a low key day, i wore my brown sandals and carried my light grey structured bag. i wore my gold studs, a floral bangle and my name necklace to compliment this jumpsuit and keep this look clean and effortless. to dress it up, i let my accessories do all of the work. i wore some bright white pumps and a bright lip for a little pop of color. i decided to add just a little bit of edge to my look by stacking some gold spiked bracelets and pairing them with a gold spiked ring. even though i'm going for a preppier look, it's always fun to add some edgy accessories to mix things up. like i said, it's fun to add a little prep to your world but i'll be back to black in no time.

summer may be upon us but black is still my color. something about an all black ensemble screams chic to me. don't get me wrong, i love me some color but sometimes a girl just wants to wear all black. one of my most worn tees is this black oversized ramones one. i know there is some controversy when it comes to band tees, people always asking "oh so do you listen to their music?" my response is fashion is fashion, we make our own rules! for a casual punk look i styled my tee with some destroyed denim shorts in black of course along with some gold gladiator sandals. i like my jewelry simple for this look adding only some gold hoops and a massive arm party. to glam up this punk look i added this super flattering black pencil skirt and some black booties. i also added this crazy chic gold statement necklace and the darkest lipstick i have in my collection. just because its almost summer doesn't mean you can't go punk every now and then.

keep it chic xo
